Diane Burton, originally from a small town in Oklahoma, received a Masters in Education and has been teaching special needs children for over thirty years in Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and California. Her talents don’t begin and end with the classroom; she is also an actor, screenwriter, producer, script supervisor, script consultant, a Feng Shui practitioner, and Medium. She is also a Board Member for Sierra Madre CERT.
After moving to Nashville, Tennessee she became interested in songwriting and screenwriting. She was thrilled to hear a song she co-wrote played on a local radio station. While learning the ropes with an encouraging group of like-minded screenwriters called the Tennessee Screenwriting Association, she served as the Vice-President, and later, President. Encouraged by her passion for screenwriting, Diane convinced her husband, whom she met in the screenwriting group, to move to Los Angeles to pursue their ultimate screenwriting dreams.
Diane met Leland Stewart and his wife during a weekend conference in Santa Barbara. Somehow Leland persuaded Diane to be part of the Peace Sunday committee and help with the Student Art projects. Another committee for U.D.C she has served on is the Universal Peoples Alliance. She now finds it impossible not to believe in Leland Stewart’s dream of World Peace.
