Rev. Dr. Thomas Hedberg
A former Roman Catholic Priest, Thomas is a psychotherapist, spiritual director, and co-founder of the Center for Sacred Psychology in West Los Angeles. He is a founding member of the Southern California Chapter of the Parliament of the World’s Religions.
And per All Paths Divinity School (see link below): “Dr. Thomas Hedberg holds a Masters of Divinity from the Pontifical College Josephinum, a Catholic Seminary. He went on to gain a Masters degree in psychology from Loyola Marymount University, and a Doctoral degree from Sierra University. He is a member of the Spiritual Directors International and amongst many published books and articles has written the seminal book “A Code of Ethics for Spiritual Directors”.
Thomas is a Jungian therapist and author, as well as a mentor/supervisor for the National Association of Poetry Therapists (NAPT), where he served as Education Chair. Currently in private practice in West Los Angeles, his professional credits include: Founder of Y.E.S. – the international English/Spanish youth and family training programs; Director of the Center for Sacred Psychology; Licensed Supervisor for Marriage & Family Therapist Interns; Supervisor for Christian Formation and Direction Ministries Training; Vice President of the Board of Directors of Pluma Pictures; President of the Board of Directors for Breakthrough Parenting Services; Certified by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences to supervise psychotherapists in training; Recipient of the Arthur Lerner Award for Excellence in the field of mental health in the year 2000.
His skills include continuing study of Jungian psychology, pastoral counseling, theology, philosophy, anthropology, the healing arts, poetry, literature, photography, mythology, film, and communications.”
