The Future Golden Age of the Human Race
I believe the future Golden Age of the human race is so glorious, so majestic, that we cannot even imagine it at the present time.
It will be a spiritual world civilization based upon Divine principles of undeviating justice, unconditional love, the exalted nobility and full human rights of every human being, whose boundary will be the planet, and whose watchword will be “unity in diversity.”
I believe this planetary culture will come about as a result of the total unification and the complete moral and spiritual transformation of the entire human race.
This future world commonwealth will have many features that we talk about today, but are not yet fully realized. Here are just a few of them:
Collective security; elimination of the extremes of wealth and poverty; elimination of prejudices of all kinds; equality of women and men; harmony of science and religion; independent investigation of truth without any preconceived notions; universal auxiliary language; universal compulsory education; universal system of weights, measures, and currency; world tribunal.
In this global society representing the coming of age and maturity of the human race, each nation, no matter how small, will contribute its share to the thriving of the whole. And each nation will benefit from the whole.
Furthermore, the peoples of the world will recognize that there is only one Creator, though He has been called different Names throughout history such as Ahura Mazda, Brahma, Adonoi, Father, Allah.
People everywhere will embrace the oneness of mankind. They will happily affirm: There is only ONE race — the Human Race. They will view all humanity as a beautiful human flower garden whose diversity is to be accepted and appreciated, not condemned and destroyed.
And they will affirm that logically one Creator has only one religion. But He has revealed His one religion not once, but MANY times throughout history through His Messengers: the Founders of the major world religions — Abraham, Krishna, Moses, Zoroaster, Buddha, Christ, and Muhammad.
Hence people everywhere will believe that ALL the major world religions are Divine in origin, one in essence, equally true, equally important, equally valid, and all part of ONE progressive Divine process.
This belief in the oneness of religion will be based on the foundation that a universal loving Creator does not play favorites. Rather, God wants ALL His children, whenever and wherever they have lived, to know of His existence, to love and obey Him, and in so doing, to develop into the spiritual human beings we were all created to become.
This universal view of religion will replace the illogical contradiction arising from the fact that so many religions and denominations claim they are God’s one true religion.
With all of these features in place, war and conflict will be wiped off the face of the earth.
Of course not every human being will be totally spiritual all the time because we are human. But those who cause problems of any kind will be in a tiny minority. The vast majority of people will become so spiritual that even the contemplation of any act that is not spiritual will be enough punishment for them to realize they should not commit it.
Just as individuals, we are created in God’s image, socially this will manifest itself in the long-awaited Kingdom of God on earth — the future Golden Age of the human race whose brightness and beauty are beyond our comprehension.
My beliefs come from the universal teachings of Baha’u’llah (1817-1892), Founder of the youngest of the major world religions, the Baha’i Faith that began in Persia (Iran) in 1844.
