THE PRICE OF LIBERTY IS ETERNAL VIGILANCE: THE GIFT OF ROBERT MUELLER
One hundred years ago at the Treaty of Versailles on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1919, the sovereignty of the ordinary person was recognized as the warring nations ended the Great War, the War to End All Wars.
It could have been prevented.
The Russia Revolution was yet to come in 1917 and the 1920s were generally hopeful years. But punishment in terms of reparations for the losers brought great despair and discontent and in a short 20 year period, in 1939 World War II began. Not only did so many people lose their freedom but great numbers also lost their lives in the mass destruction of the fruits of so-called civilizations’ art and government as well the holocaust. However, the free citizens of the world sent out so many valiant individual soldiers with liberty engraved on their hearts to once again liberate the sovereignty, the individual freedom of ordinary people. More progress was made at the Nuremberg Trials following that war.
It could have been prevented.
On August 7 of that year 1944, someone was born in America whose destiny was carved out to be a siren for freedom so many years later when vigilance as the price of liberty would again be tested. That child, Robert Swan Muller, joined the Marines in 1968 when the liberty of ordinary people in a far away country, Vietnam was being torched to the ground. Courage under fire had already been instilled in many sovereign hearts which had already survived two world wars in 50 years. Robert Mueller as many others, like John McCain and John Kerry had also passed the test of Vietnam.
It could have been prevented.
Mueller’s next trial began on September 4, 2001, one week before what became known forever as Nine Eleven when he became the Director of the FBI. His task turned out to become weathering the trauma of one of the very free countries isolated by oceans in the past, now attacked with great skill and ferocity from the SKY.
It could have been prevented.
Fast forward to 2014, the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the War to End All Wars. In 1914 there were few planes in the sky. In 1939 there were planes, giant vessels on the ocean, and before it ended, two atomic bombs detonated.
It all could have been prevented.
In 2014 there was the INTERNET, beginning like a sailboat in a harbor, a joyful facebook connection with friends and family in far away places on the now totally encircled planet we call earth.
The Price of Liberty is Eternal Vigilance
What do we do now to preserve the hard-won sovereign integrity of people taking for granted, the freedom that so many in the past century have given their lives to protect. It is not an attack in a far off land as in WWI. It is not an attack from the sea as in WWII. It is not an attack from the sky as in 911. It is now a CYBER attack, an attack from the new kid on the block, our beloved INTERNET. Our freedom to decide who we want to represent us in our government, our freedom to tell the truth knowing that the truth guards our sovereignty, our love of our neighbor whatever size, shape or color – all of these things are now under attack.
We can prevent it.
The siren call has been sent out to us by the tried and true marine under fire, clean up supervisor after 911 and now reporter as well as guide through our legal system of government where responsibility for action rests with those immediately elected by their own kinspeople and close friends and local citizens, the Congress of the United States.
The siren call – There were multiple, systematic efforts to interfere in our election. That allegation deserves the attention of every American.
The call to action – by the already proven best legal guide in the land – Any potential wrongdoing by a president must be addressed by a process other than the criminal justice system
May God bless Robert Swan Mueller and the United States of America.
