INCOME INEQUALITY PART 7:
THE USE OF MONEY REIMAGINED
A vision of money being used organically is now becoming achievable.
Imagine a world where all human beings have enough food to eat, living conditions that they favor and an overall peace of mind. It is in the 21st century where the God of Money had tipped the scales so heavily that the pendulum is about to swing back to the God of the Universe who is now ready to benefit from the knowledge gained and the understanding of how to use it.
Money is amoral. It operates in the field of science only. The human mind which handles money is ultimately guided by conscience. Conscience is the only thing that can bring money into harmony with organic nature. (1)
Concerning Corporations, there needs to be a line item on every expense entitled something like Community Enhancement Fund which covers the estimated price of everything that would have been paid had Mother Earth, or the Environment been compensated for the use of their treasures had they been human beings. Also what all workers might have been paid had they been shareholders and entitled by articles to some share of the profits ultimately distributed to registered shareholders over and above their investment in each venture. There are economic statisticians eminently capable of making these peace and planet-saving calculations.
Entrepreneurs need to hold fast to their goal of developing their ideas, their goods or their services with sufficient money to reward them handsomely while knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that excess profits represented by money belong to replenishing Mother Earth and benefitting their fellow human beings whose collective harmonious welfare is the cradle that rocks them and the community that nurtures them. Legally when entrepreneurs know that monetary return beyond a certain point reverts to humanity they will be encouraged to put more integrity into their business practices and not skimp on their workers or short cut anything resulting in fewer and fewer regulations even being framed, let alone enacted into law. When integrity prevails, regulations are unnecessary. The individual conscience recognizes and embraces its role as part of a communal conscience. (2)
This excess profit reverted to humanity is here called the Community Enhancement Fund. Funneled through the Global People’s Assembly, global Economic Wisdom Keepers will belong to the Court of the Wise, dedicated to economic fairness in terms of the giving of a worker’s best effort whatever that is in the ladder of the workforce and the receiving of something for it that falls within the boundaries of the organic Law of Proportionality.
Next, if a country gives allegiance to the God of Money then the meaning of democracy – equal rights without hereditary is sorely tested. How many members of the communal conscience can hold their ground for something resembling equality here? Organically, great excesses of wealth need to be subjected to the Law of Proportionality.
The Court of the Wise will establish an upper limit to inherited wealth for one person with the excess going into the Global Resource Fund to stabilize the well-being of the planet. Pure Democracy would demand it. Those who contributed to the Global Resource Fund would be encouraged to be on panels of the Court of the Wise which deal with the particular area of their expertise.
Respect for the law of proportionality of personal expendable income is the guarantor of a peaceful culture or country. Democracy is built upon the integrity of the individual conscience. Without the integrity of the individual conscience, there can be no real democracy. In the spiritual sense, democracy is simply the extension of the self.
The Community Enhancement Fund can take over some basics as healthcare, safer infrastructure, basic communal facilities as transportation, libraries, productive schools, safety etc. These functions are better provided by Socialism only when Capitalism is not faithful to its true function of controlling the distribution of its wealth.
